If you work in a school office, chances are you are more than familiar with the hundreds of thousands of files containing student records, transcripts and other documents that are taking up space. Student records that by law you are obligated to keep for years and years. Did you ever think that there's probably nothing you can do about it? Wrong! There's a solution. An affordable one.
The Ontario Library Association Expo was held last week (January 31-February 1) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in downtown Toronto!
MES Hybrid Document Systems held court at booth 905, with Kevin, Nick and Bob proudly displaying some of our favourite products: the UScan Microfilm Scanner, the zeta Book Scanner and FileBound Express document management system. All of which have their place as extremely beneficial tools in the library setting.

Human Resources requires a breadth of documentation which can slow down the on boarding or off boarding process by days, sometimes weeks, sometimes more. Resumes, applications, forms, policies, procedures, banking information, vacation requests... the list goes on.
Wouldn't it be great to have a one-stop shop for all of those unnecessary pieces of paper? An online repository for each employee where all documentation is instantly accessible, allowing for faster and easier retrieval? Protect yourselves from staff turnover or too many people having access, and always have accountability for every file?
Gearing Up for the Ontario Library Association Expo!
Our team is busy setting up for the Ontario Library Association Expo, which starts tomorrow (don't forget to come and visit us at booth 905)! We'll have a full recap and pictures on our site early next week, so watch this space!

Aperture Card Scanners: Six Steps to a Successful Digitizing Project [VIDEO]
Aperture card scanners are machines that scan the contents of aperture cards and produce a digital file. An aperture card is a punched card that has a microfilm chip affixed in a cut-out window.
